Winter is a fun and peaceful time to come out and play in Olympic National Park — hike, ski, snowboard, snowshoe, sit by the cozy Five Seasuns fireplace, dine out, explore local shops, go wine tasting, and more.

While we don’t get a lot of lowland snow in town, you can head up to Hurricane Ridge to find plenty of it.  Weather permitting, Hurricane Ridge Road is scheduled to be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through the end of March.  You can drive up (carry chains) or take the shuttle offered by Olympic Hiking Co every Saturday through March 29, 2025. The shuttle departs from the Port Angeles Wharf at 8:30 AM and returns by 3:30 PM.

Shuttle tickets start at $25 per passenger, plus a $15 Olympic National Park entrance fee for Adult Passengers (Age 16 or older) without a National Parks Pass. Please note that advanced online bookings are required.
